National Blog Posting Month #NaBloPoMo

to blog or not to blog

Apparently November is National Novel Writing Month. I came across this interesting fact about, oh, a week ago.

OMG! I am going to do that! I initially thought. Then… wait, no. I realized: I have prepared nothing, I have no schedule, I’ll never be able to finish that, I am not a real writer, and all the things you think to yourself when you tell yourself you can’t do something. And the truth is, I maybe could do it. Maybe.

So I researched and researched and came across this little gem of an article: The NaMos Are Coming! The NaMos are Coming!.

I went here and read about it, too.

A blog post a day? Seems a little more achievable, but I had a few reservations. (Per usual.)

  • 1. I’m new. I don’t have a large following so I won’t reach many people.
  • 2. The few people who do read are most likely not going to want me blowing up their social media every day.
  • 3. What if I run out of things to say and I’m like, oh, here is a picture of… me… in the yard. Yay fall.

I found this article that made me feel hopeful: NaBloPoMo Blogroll.

And, then I thought of Ernest Hemingway (as we all do at some point in the day) when he said:

“My aim is to put down on paper what I see and what I feel in the best and simplest way.”

So, for the month of November, I will be trying to do just that. Expect some random posts and some random thoughts (and possibly pictures of me in the yard, it may come to that).

See you on November 1.

  1. Hey there, I found you via the NaBloPoMo blogroll.

I have generally found a lot of awesome bloggers and blogs via this craziness each year known as NaBloPoMo.. A photo and a title counts, so give yourself permission to just post that if all else fails. 🙂

As part of NaBloPoMo I try to comment on as many participating blogs as I can, and I add participating blogs to my feed reader.

So I’m just dropping by to let you know I’ve added your blog to my feedreader, I’m reading you loud and clear, I have a link up going at my place so my readers can find participating blogs which you are more than welcome to add your blog link to.

Looking forward to seeing your posts, and you’ll likely see me drop by again during November.

    Happy NaBloPoMo to you!
